Battery Operated and "I'm a PC"

This print ad is for energizer and displays children being “curious” with one another. The caption saying “never let their toys die.” This ad is displaying a child’s loss of innocence, which is a scary thing to a parent. This ad is also very broad in sense that the room is timeless and can be in any era in time. It pushes parents to make sure their children are always having fun with their battery operated toys or else there time will wander elsewhere. This ad is very clever, clear and to the point. It gives a parent a slight scare on what could happen if they loss battery power with their toys.

This commercial uses a small child to show people who are inimidated by modern day computers that using a PC is easy. It also shows how children are growing up in a society of computers. This is a two-fold commercial because it’s almost like they are guilting the people who don’t use computers into buying one. Saying if a four and a half year old can edit, email, and send a picture then anyone at any age should be able to do the same. Therefore when people who are forty some years old or older see a commerical like this it also makes them feel like they should be able to do all the things a small child cn do. It also shows the society that children are growing up in. The children being more advanced within the computer world.
